Ratley Village Hall Moving Picture

the next film night at Ratley Village Hall is on Friday 20th October at 8.00pm.

Stratford District Council has outsourced the organisation of Moving Pictures to ‘Live and Local', with whom we have registered.

Ratley VH is exploring alternative schemes, but in the meantime, as we do not have a hi-spec projector, we are staying with the Council-sponsored scheme.

October's film is

The Sense of an Ending

Time 8.00pm

Certificate PG-13

Duration 1hr 48 mins

Ticket Price £4.50 Children £2.50

A man becomes haunted by his past and is presented with a mysterious legacy that causes him to re-think his current situation in life. Based on the novel by Julian Barnes,

“The Sense of an Ending" maintains intrigue and emotional magnetism as its mystery unfolds: it also looks terrific, suffused as it is with British manners and everything-in-its-placeness. It's a cosy movie with a decidedly un-cosy message. With his very nicely judged performance – lugubrious, droll, self-pitying and slightly scared – Broadbent controls the pace and tone of every scene, and the film as a whole.
